The Danville library's Cindy Rutledge will give a tour of Mill Creek Meetinghouse and Cemetery on Saturday, September 14 at 10 am. As early as 1829, Quakers were holding a meeting for worship in the Mill Creek settlement. By 1834, about 25 families were settled in Mill Creek and Spring communities and the Mill Creek Monthly Meeting was established. Cindy Rutledge from the library's Indiana Room will discuss the history of the Mill Creek Meeting and also lead a tour of the cemetery. Participants should meet at the Mill Creek Meetinghouse, which is at 1845 County Road 250 West (west of Danville) - a map is available in the library's Indiana Room or on the library's website.
Pre-registration is required for this program - to register, please visit the events link of the library's website, or call (317) 745-2604.
