Plainfield Library Digitizes Hendricks County Historical Society Newsletters

The Indiana Room of the Plainfield Public Library has begun digitizing their collection of the newsletters of the Hendricks County Historical Society (published between 1971 and 2000) and placing them online at:

http://www.plainfieldlibrary.net/localdatabases.html

So far the first 4 issues are online - the digitizing is a work in progress, and more issues will be added over time. The society no longer exists, so having these newsletters online allows researchers easier access to some of the great local information that is found in them.

NOTE: These newsletters were indexed in PERSI (Periodical Source Index), a database that is available via subscription to Heritage Quest or Ancestry.com, as well as in-person visits to the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne.
