According to a legal notice, in May 1985 Joseph Michael Hickman filed a petition in the Hendricks County Circuit Court (case # C 5 85-168) to change the name of minor child James Brian Clafley to James Brian Hickman. The petition was scheduled to be heard in court on July 25, 1985.
