Adoption of Eric Reid HUNT and Richard Lee HUNT, Jr. (1983)

According to a legal notice, in April 1983 Diane K. Hunt filed a petition in the Hendricks County Superior Court (case # A 4 83-18) to adopt minor children Eric Reid Hunt and Richard Lee Hunt, Jr. Their biological mother was listed as Vicki Ann Hunt (aka Vicki Ann Hilt), who was said to have abandoned and deserted them and could not be found. The petition was scheduled to be heard in court 30 days after the legal notice had been published.

C.B. HUNT attends Butler University (1858)

According to Northwestern Christian University's annual catalog for the 1857-1858 session, among those students attending was C.B. Hunt of Belleville - he was in the College Preparatory Course.

NOTE: Northwestern Christian University later changed its name to Butler University. It is in Indianapolis.

Among the items they've found: letterhead from 1871 (shown below) containing a receipt from the business of Christie & Hunt - with James Christie and Lee Hunt as partners.
