The Indiana Genealogical Society has been working on preserving and digitizing the contents of Hendricks County probate packets as part of its Records Preservation Project. The probate packet for William C. Nelson's estate (1871) contains a piece of paper listing the names and birthdates of his heirs:
Marietta Nelson was born February the 7th 1855
Elisabeth Ann Nelson was born July the 22nd 1857
Ida May Nelson was born September the 27th 1859
Charles Lewis Nelson was born November the 15th 1864
