Cable television service offered in Danville (1983)

According to an ad in a newspaper, the first cable television services were offered in Danville in 1983. Wabash Cablevision had a full-page ad offering access to 19 cable television channels for $9.40 a month. The channels included Nickelodeon and Superstation TBS of Atlanta, as well as The Nashville Network and WGN Chicago.
