Source: Crawfordsville Journal Review (Crawfordsville, Indiana) - issue of December 25, 1923:
North Salem -- December 24 - Mrs. Mary O'Rear died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. May Ellis. She had been an invalid for over a year. The funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon.
