Hendricks County 4-H Fair adds Queen Contest (1960)

According to a newspaper article, in January 1960, the board of the Hendricks County 4-H Fair decided to add a new event, a Queen Contest, to that year's fair, which was to be held August 1-6, 1960.

According to an August 4, 1960 article, 16-year-old Suzanna Glover of Danville won the contest and was named the first "Miss Hendricks County." The article included her weight (115 pounds), height (5 foot 4 inches) and measurements (35-24-25).
