Indianapolis groups sponsoring research trip to Fort Wayne

The Indiana African American Genealogy Group and the Genealogical Society of Marion County are planning a research trip from Indianapolis to the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne on Saturday, November 7, 2015. The bus will leave Indianapolis at 7:30 am and it should return to Indianapolis by 8 pm. The Genealogy Center of the Allen County Public Library is the third largest genealogy repository in the United States. The Genealogy Center has more than 350,000 printed volumes, 513,000 microfilms and microfiche.

The bus trip will cost $30 per person. Registration and payment can be made on the GSMC website (www.GenealogyIndy.org) using PayPal or by mailing a check to:

Genealogical Society of Marion County
9370 E. Washington St.
Indianapolis, IN 46229

Each registration should include the passenger’s name, address, telephone (preferably cell phone) and e-mail address. Those wishing to pay by credit card may use PayPal, which is on the IAAGG website at www.iaagg.org. The registration deadline is Saturday, October 19, 2015. They will need a minimum of 25 passengers for the trip to take place. If we have fewer than 25 reservations, the bus trip will be cancelled and they will carpool instead.
