Adoption of James Henry LEISMAN (1938)

According to a Hendricks County Probate Court docket sheet, in January 1938 Sylvester and Dorott Coffman filed a petition (case #6368) to adopt James Henry Leisman, a minor child. His mother, Dorothea Coffman, gave her consent; the residence of his father, Leslie J. Thomas, was unknown. The petition was granted, and his name was changed to James Henry Coffman.
