According to a legal notice, in September 1985 Ethel Mae Buescher filed a petition in the Hendricks County Circuit Court (case # C 9 85-321) to change her minor child's name from Michelle Lynn Pierce to Michelle Lynn Ward. The petition was scheduled to be heard in court on December 4, 1985.
