William P. MILLS dies in Plainfield (1929)

DEATH OF W.P. MILLS AT HOME IN PLAINFIELD
William P. Mills, age 83, well known citizen of Plainfield, died Wednesday night, Aug. 28. The funeral was Friday afternoon in the Plainfield Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr. Mills was a retired farmer. He was born September 17, 1846, in Ohio, and came with his parents to Indiana at the age of four years. After completing the district school he attended Earlham College. He was a member of McCarty Lodge of Odd Fellows and K. of P. Lodge No. 50, Plainfield.

Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Olive Mattern Mills, Plainfield, and Mrs. H.R. Nicholas, Greencastle, and two sons, Halsted Mills, Detroit, and Charles W. Mills, Indianapolis. A sister, Mrs. Dana Mattern, Plainfield, also survives.
