The Indiana Genealogical Society has been working on preserving and digitizing the contents of Hendricks County probate packets as part of its Records Preservation Project. Among the items they've found: letterhead from 1898 (shown below) containing a receipt from a dry goods store in Danville owned by James M. Jeffers. This store was on the west side of the courthouse square.
