NORTH SALEM – Mrs. Violet Naomi Williams, 57, died today in Hendricks County Hospital at Danville where she had been a patient since June 22. She had been employed by Allison Division of General Motors Corp. at Indianapolis, Curtis Wright at Indianapolis and the Golden Manor Nursing Home at Ladoga. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God at New Maysville. Born August 16, 1916, at North Salem, she was a daughter of Earl and Hazel Kersey Soots. She married Robert R. Leak in 1935. He died in 1970. She married Earl Williams on July 21, 1972. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Mrs. Hazel Bonames of North Salem; a son, Robert Leak of Rt. 2, Roachdale; a daughter, Sharon Nichols of Connersville; a sister, Betty Ross of Plainfield; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, two sisters and a brother. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Porter Funeral Home here with the Rev. Kenneth Clark officiating. Burial will be in New Maysville Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
