Carrie MOORE granted divorce (1919)
As mentioned in Hendricks County Circuit Court Civil Order Book Volume 68 (February 1919 - November 1919), in May 1919 Carrie Moore was granted a divorce from Harry Moore (case #10213) on the cause of deserting her and their 4 children - Jennie Mae Moore (age 8), Nedra Moore (age 7), Beatrice Moore (age 5) and Helen Moore (age 3). She was awarded $82.50 a month in child support.

Obituary of Civil War Veteran Henry C. MOORE (1915)

HENRY C. MOORE DEAD
Henry C. Moore, 74, a former resident of this county, died at the Soldiers' Home at Danville, Ills., Saturday. He was an uncle of A.C. Underwood of this place. Mr. Underwood and his father, J.T. Underwood, attended the funeral, which was held Monday at Danville, Ills. Deceased lived for many years near Pittsboro and he is well known in that part of the county. He had been at the Soldiers' Home for about 15 years. He was an old soldier, having served with Henry Kirk and George W. Scearce of this place in Co. A of the 51st Ind. Henry Kirk was at Danville last week to visit the sick man. He was held in high regard by his old comrades.

NEWSPAPER TIDBIT: Danville Man Married in Mishawaka (1929)

JOHN SPEARS MARRIES
This is the story that should have been written by John Spears, of the local staff of the paper, but as he is honey-mooning, the duty falls elsewhere in the office. Mr. Spears and Miss Helen Moore were married, Tuesday, at the home of Miss Moore in Mishawaka. Their license was issued in Indianapolis. Monday, Mr. Spears disappeared from this office without explanation. A telegram, yesterday, told the story. Their romance began at that Indiana headquarters for romances – DePauw university, and the wedding is the happy culmination. Friends of Mr. Spears are awaiting his arrival in Danville.

Death of Charles Moore
Charles Moore died at his home at 3510 W. Michigan street, Indianapolis, Monday. He was born at Belleville and taught school in this county for several years. After his marriage to Miss Luella Craven he moved to Kansas, but returned to Indiana and has been living in Indianapolis for the past 25 years. He leaves his widow, one daughter, Clara Tlma Moore [sic], one son, Paul Moore, and five brothers. The funeral was held Wednesday with burial at Crown Hill.
