Adeline (CRAVEN) KENNEDY Files For Divorce (1935)

TWO LOCAL SUITS ARE FILED IN LOCAL COURT
Two divorce suits were filed in the local clerk's office, Saturday. Both were by the wife and cruel and inhuman treatment are given as the grounds for divorce.

That Oren L. Kennedy failed to provide for his wife, Adeline Kennedy, is charged in the divorce suit filed by the latter. They were married in 1926 and separated in January of this year. The plaintiff asks that her maiden name, Adeline Craven, be restored by the court. For the past two years the complaint states that the plaintiff has resided with her parents in Liberty Township.

Oliver PRUITT of Belleville Celebrates 50th Wedding Anniversary (1934)

BELLEVILLE COUPLE TO CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Pruitt of Belleville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Sunday, with an open house to their friends at their home from 2 o'clock until 5 and from 6 to 9. Mr. and Mrs. Pruitt are the parents of nine children all living. They are Mrs. Hallie Hadley and Mrs. Katherine Craven, Belleville; Arthur Pruitt, West Newton; Luther, Hall; Mrs. Ruth Kephart, Cartersburg; Mrs. Jessie Johnson, Amo; Mrs. Jennie Schuler, Clayton; Merle and William of Belleville. They have eight grandchildren.

OBITUARY: Charles Moore (1932)

Death of Charles Moore
Charles Moore died at his home at 3510 W. Michigan street, Indianapolis, Monday. He was born at Belleville and taught school in this county for several years. After his marriage to Miss Luella Craven he moved to Kansas, but returned to Indiana and has been living in Indianapolis for the past 25 years. He leaves his widow, one daughter, Clara Tlma Moore [sic], one son, Paul Moore, and five brothers. The funeral was held Wednesday with burial at Crown Hill.
