Ethel THOMAS of Avon Files For Divorce (1935)

source: The Republican (Danville, Indiana) - issue of Thursday, March 14, 1935 - page 8, column 6:

TWO LOCAL SUITS ARE FILED IN LOCAL COURT
Two divorce suits were filed in the local clerk's office, Saturday. Both were by the wife and cruel and inhuman treatment are given as the grounds for divorce.

Claiming that her husband, Ben H. Thomas, threatened her with weapons and choked her, Mrs. Ethel Thomas asks for an absolute divorce from her mate of twenty-five years. The complaint states that they were married in 1910 and lived together until March 2. The Thomases lived on a farm near Avon.
