According to a newspaper article, in December 1985 the Danville school board reached an agreement to purchase the former Primitive Baptist Church that was next to the Danville Junior High (at the intersection of US 36 and North Wayne Street) for $11,500 and to spend another $4,800 demolishing it.
NOTE: Today the former Danville Junior High is now the site of Danville Town Hall, and the site of the former Primitive Baptist Church is a parking lot adjacent to the town hall.
