Jean Scott, 55, of Danville, a former registered nurse at Culver Hospital, died Tuesday in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. Mrs. Scott also worked as a registered nurse at Methodist Hospital and Indiana University Medical Center at Indianapolis. She was on the nursing staff in Hendricks County Hospital at Danville at the time of her death. She served in the Army Nurse Corps in England and France during World War II. She was a graduate of Ladoga High School and Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Scott was born October 1, 1918, at Ladoga, a daughter of Orb M. and Charlotte Barnes Shefhire. Surviving are five sons, Sidney of Crawfordsville, Dannell of Peru, Michael of Indianapolis and Kevin and Walt, at home; three brothers, Wendall and Keith Shefhire of Indianapolis, and Wayne Shefhire of Washington and a sister, Mrs. Letty Todd of Ladoga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Perkins Funeral Home at Ladoga with burial in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday.
