According to a legal notice, in August 1960 there was a petition filed by Thomas E. Fleming in the Hendricks County Circuit Court (case #259) to adopt Marilynn Diane Conley, a minor. Her biological mother, Lola Diane (Conley) Fleming, was Thomas' wife; her biological father, Lowell Hunter Conley, was listed as whereabouts unknown. The case was scheduled to be heard in court on October 15, 1960.
