According to a legal notice, in August 1965 there was a petition filed in the Hendricks County Superior Court (case # A 65-21) to adopt Joanna Marie Stone, a minor. Her biological father, George E. Stone, was listed as whereabouts unknown. The case was scheduled to be heard in court on September 30, 1965.
