According to a legal notice, in April 1959, Ernest Lawrence Grosdidier, Jr. was petitioning the Hendricks County Circuit Court to change his name to Ernest Lawrence Grier. His wife, Nancy Jean Grosdidier, also filed a petition to change her name to Nancy Jean Grier, and he filed a petition on behalf of his daughter, Julie Anne Grosdidier, to change her name to Julie Anne Grier. These petitions were to be heard in court on June 20, 1959.
