According to a legal notice, in September 1965 there was a petition filed by Donald Ray Porter in the Hendricks County Superior Court (case # S 65-22) to adopt Stephen Michael Eagan and Patricia Ann Eagan, minor children. Their biological father, Robert Donald Eagan, was listed as whereabouts unknown. The case was scheduled to be heard in court on October 18, 1965.
