According to a legal notice, in August 1966, William Lee Norman was petitioning the Hendricks County Superior Court (case # A 66-20) to adopt Roberta Jean Holbrook and Robert Hudson Holbrook, minor children. Their biological mother was Janet Sue Norman; their biological father, Gerald Dean Holbrook, was listed as whereabouts unknown. The petition was to be heard in court on October 4, 1966.
