According to a legal notice, in June 1969 there was a petition filed by Delbert F. Collins in the Hendricks County Superior Court (case # A 68-20) to adopt Lorri Lynn Cummings, a minor. Her biological father, Joseph E. Cummings, was listed as whereabouts unknown. The case was scheduled to be heard in court on July 13, 1969.
