According to a legal notice, in June 1966, Melody Ann McCauley was petitioning the Hendricks County Superior Court (case # S 66-103) to change her name to Melody Ann Ritchie. Because she was under 21, the petition was filed by Donald L. Ritchie, Sr. The petition was to be heard in court on July 5, 1966.
